The present project consists in
the construction of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) quadcopter-type, operated
by remote control. The quadcopter will be operated by four motors with
propellers, located at the edges of the frame. These motors will be controlled
by a microcontroller arduino-type.
The project is going to be built
with Wi-Fi as the interconnection between the quadcopter and the remote
control, which has a range of 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. The instructions for the
quadcopter will be sent by means of a cellphone, which is going to have an app
with the program to use the cellphone as a remote control
The microcontroller, the Wi-Fi and
the motors will be all fed by rechargeable 3.7-volt lithium batteries. It has
to operate at a minimum distance of 10 meters. This project will be useful to
acquire knowledge about data transmission and the function and operation of
various integrated circuits.
